So extra.

Depending on your relationship, there are different ways to say you're proud of someone. You might send them a bouquet of gorgeous blooms (sweet!). You might take them out for a nice dinner (romantic!). And if you happen to be Drake, you might also get them a massive billboard with your sentiments writ extremely large (extra!).

The message congratulates Rihanna for winning the highest honor at the MTV Video Music Awards: the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, which she'll accept Sunday. It honors her 10-plus years of work with music videos—over 52 of them since 2005, to be exact (Drake, by the way, fanned rumors of romance again when he appeared in her video for "Work" earlier this year).

But the massive billboard he gave her doesn't say congrats in some sort of clean-cut Helvetica typeface. Nope, we've definitely see that font on pretty much every cheesy Valentine's Day card (just sayin').

Also notable? Rihanna’s amazingly chill response to the gesture. "When he extra," she captioned the picture. We'll say.

And because Rihanna + Drake is one of the greatest love stories that may or may not be happening, the internet freaked out right on cue:

The next thing that's going to be "extra"? Rihanna's award acceptance, which is gearing up to be a bit more than a speech: The VMA's executive producer has teased as "one of those holy crap VMA moments." You can bet we'll be tuning in Sunday to see what happens.
