There are few things Instagram loves more than the power of a side-by-side comparison, but the latest one to go viral doesn't revolve around a transformation. Instead, Anna Victoria, like some of her fitness blogger peers, has posted one to spark a conversation about the staged perfectionism you see on social media—and how easy it is to project that.

In Anna Victoria's experience, that's especially the case with cellulite, also known as a completely normal thing that society has turned into a bad word. When Victoria snapped a picture of herself in elevator lighting and contrasted it with another in her regular selfie lighting, she realized that the appearance of cellulite often comes down to lighting. "Lighting. Is. Everything. 99% of pictures you see on social media are taken in the best possible lighting and that ain't no accident 💁 so when I got into the elevator with the lighting on the right, I zoned in on the cellulite on the back of my arms," she wrote on Instagram.

Victoria also wisely pointed out that cellulite is nothing to be ashamed of, even when it occurs on places other than the more common areas like legs. "Yes, cellulite on your arms is a thing! I've had it since the beginning of my journey and while it's lightened up since then, it's still not totally gone... because I'm human," Victoria writes. "Seriously, girls, stop thinking you're the only one with cellulite and that it's some kind of disease!"
