Bloating happens to everyone—even celebrities and fitness pros. Fitness blogger Tiffany Brien set out to prove exactly that when she posted side-by-side photos on Facebook that were taken just twelve hours apart. In one photo, taken just before Brien went to bed, she's experiencing bloating. In the next photo, taken after Brien woke up the following morning, she looks confident and comfortable.

"These two photos are 12 hours apart," Brien wrote in her post. "Left before bed and right when I woke up...I know right!" She went on to remind followers that everyone's body fluctuates from time to time. "I thought I would share a bad day with you to show you nobody is 'perfect' and it is ok to have an off day where your body just decides to not play ball...It is a delightful cocktail of lack of sleep, stress, hormones, and food intolerances."

Brien then explained that she's done research into which foods and outside factors may cause her body to react in certain ways, but is still sometimes taken by surprise when she bloats seemingly out of nowhere (which is a very normal occurrence in women.) She revealed that unsure exactly what caused the bloating that showed up in the photo she posted, but that she suspects stress and lack of sleep are at least part of the culprit. "I love my job and wouldn't change it for the world but I have to factor in de-stress time to help me unwind and allow my insides to untwist after a tough day in the office," she wrote.

"I am in no way perfect," she shared. "I am trying extremely hard to sleep more, relax more and eat right (not less, just right) and I am definitely seeing improvement and will share tips and photos as I go." She suggested that readers who are worried about bloat ensure they get enough sleep, keep a food log to help track what may be making them bloat, and above all, "relax and be happy." She wrote, "it'll be okay, you're not alone. Promise." Brien is right—no woman is alone in experiencing bloating. Kudos to Brien for being so candid! Take a look at the full post below.
